The Club’s present clubhouse was constructed in 1946 and is now very much in need of replacement. We have prepared plans for a new clubhouse to include an indoor 25-yard range together with facilities currently lacking such as a purpose built armoury, kitchen and accessible toilet.
We have recently re-aligned the disused outdoor 50m range and constructed a firing point building and butts. This, together with a car parking area, has formed Phase 1 of our overall project. We are currently in the process of obtaining planning permission for the new clubhouse that will form Phase 2.
Phase 1 has been funded by EDF Hinkley Point C CIM Fund in conjuction with Somerset West & Taunton Council and by the Co-op Community Fund, the Somerset West Lottery and the generosity and hard work of our own Club Members.
Progress photos can be viewed here.
Phase 2 will comprise the new clubhouse and 25-yard indoor range together with completion of the car park, landscaping and further minor improvements to the access lane and its dry stone retaining walls. The drawings show the proposed site layout and future clubhouse.
